Henrik Nilsson, founder and CEO of Inrego, has been honored as Entrepreneur of the Year in Stockholm County. “This is a win for all circular companies that dare to invest and scale up,” he says.
At a business luncheon held at the Tessinska Palace on Tuesday, it was announced that Henrik Nilsson, founder and CEO of Inrego, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year in Stockholm County for 2024. The award is presented by the Företagarna network, which represents 60,000 businesses and 250 local associations in Sweden.
“This is incredibly exciting! It’s a win for all circular companies that dare to invest and scale up. It is possible to create sustainable profitability—this award is proof of that,” Henrik Nilsson comments.
Henrik previously received the award as Entrepreneur of the Year in Täby back in 2005, shortly after the company moved from Lund and chose to target a larger market in Stockholm. Today, Inrego employs over 170 people in Sweden and Finland and conducts business with companies worldwide.
The award was presented by Governor Anna Kinberg Batra, with the following motivation:
“Entrepreneur of the Year in Stockholm County is a true entrepreneur—someone who identifies a problem, finds a solution, and makes that solution available to more people. Our winner is also a true pioneer who was not only early to their market but has largely created their own market.
The winner is praised for their warm and engaged leadership, an innovative business model, and for serving as a role model by demonstrating that sustainability doesn’t have to be costly but can, in fact, be a profitable business and form the foundation of a successful company.”
