Downstream Compliance
Taking Responsibility Across the Entire Value Chain
To ensure sustainable IT management throughout the entire value chain, we operate under a responsible stewardship program. This program includes key aspects of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and is designed to ensure that all IT equipment handled by us is put to good use—while actively preventing the export of electronic waste.
The Stewardship Program Includes
Inrego primarily sells equipment to contracted resellers. These partners guarantee proper handling of the equipment.
Inrego documents traceability via serial numbers on all devices purchased and passed on, and ensures that deliveries reach their intended destination. Both customers and resellers are required to guarantee and comply with Inrego’s contractual terms.
Inrego only collaborates with certified partners for environmentally sound recycling of equipment that can no longer be reused.
Inrego applies a risk-based approach to ensure responsible handling of IT products processed within the company—whether sold within Sweden or exported abroad.
Inrego does not export electronic waste or low-value IT equipment with a short remaining lifespan.
Inrego complies with all relevant European and Swedish laws and regulations concerning the handling and export of electronic waste and the processing of personal data, including the WEEE Directive, the Swedish Waste Ordinance, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Each Market Is Assessed Based On
Traceability: We ensure that all equipment can be traced via serial numbers and that it reaches its intended and approved destination.
Compliance: The market must comply with applicable international, European, and Swedish laws and regulations, including those related to electronic waste and data protection.
Reuse Potential: We evaluate whether the market can make effective use of the equipment, extending its lifecycle and ensuring it doesn't quickly become waste.
Environmental and Ethical Standards: We assess how the market handles e-waste and whether partners operate under socially and environmentally responsible conditions.
Risk of Misuse or Dumping: We identify any risks related to improper handling, export of low-value equipment, or illegal disposal.
Transparency through our risk analysis
Inrego conducts a comprehensive country risk analysis covering all countries we operate in, as well as those we may enter in the future. The analysis is based on external indexes and reports and highlights the existing environmental legislation in each country. Overall, it identifies potential risks and the conditions for safe and responsible collaboration. If a country does not pass the assessment, no business is initiated with companies operating there.
We continuously monitor the countries and regions we work with, regardless of their assessed risk level. We also regularly review our ongoing partnerships and exclude customers linked to identified risks. The country risk analysis is revised annually to continuously improve our processes and risk assessments.
