BRUSSELS. At the World Circular Economy Forum 2024 currently taking place in Brussels, the Swedish-founded circular IT company Inrego has been named one of Europe’s Top 30 Circular Solutions for Nature.

Business leaders, policymakers, and experts from around the globe have gathered in Brussels to discuss circular solutions for a sustainable future at the annual World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF). As part of the program, the Finnish innovation fund Sitra has launched a list of the most interesting companies in the circular economy addressing the loss of biodiversity. Inrego, the Swedish-founded circular IT company, is among the 30 selected.

It is a great honor to receive such a prestigious recognition from Sitra alongside other pioneers in the circular economy. Now it’s crucial to scale up and replace traditional solutions to truly transition to a sustainable development for both people and the environment,” says Henrik Nilsson, founder and CEO of Inrego.

Sitra’s list aims to identify and highlight European circular solutions that can inspire and demonstrate that it is possible to align business goals with circularity and reduced biodiversity loss.

Among the 30 selected companies are, in addition to Inrego, Corbion, a Dutch company focused on setting scientifically-based goals for nature; Parmaco Group, a Finnish company renting out modular buildings to reduce land use and building materials; and Colorifix, a British company reducing pollution in textile dyeing through DNA sequencing and synthetic biology.
