The circular IT market is growing at record speed. Inrego, one of the Nordic region’s leading players that reuses over 400,000 IT products annually, has reported exceptionally strong sales this summer. In August alone, growth reached over 30% compared to the same period last year.
A challenging economic climate combined with a more conscious market has led more companies to review their internal IT processes and consider circular solutions for the purchase, use, and disposal of their IT environments. As a result, circular IT is now booming.
“It’s obviously great to see the secondhand market growing so strongly. Usually, the summer months tend to be relatively calm, but this year is different,” says Mattias Aronsson, Sales Director at Inrego, one of the Nordic region’s leading circular IT companies.
In August, sales grew by more than 30% compared to the same period last year. A likely driver behind this sharp increase at the end of the summer is Microsoft’s transition to Windows 11. Starting October 5, Windows 10 will no longer be supported, forcing many companies to replace older equipment.
“By choosing refurbished products, you get modern IT with full performance at a fraction of the cost—and with significantly lower climate impact. Refurbished simply becomes the obvious choice for cost-effective and conscious companies,” Aronsson continues.
Inrego is now continuing to invest in both capacity and digital solutions to meet the growing demand, with the long-term goal of making refurbished IT just as accessible and reliable a choice as buying new.
